I would like to welcome students, staff, parents, members of our parish community and visitors to our web site.

Our Lady Queen of Peace school has been offering Catholic education in the parish of Gladesville since 1925. Today it is a recently refurbished, well-equipped primary school of over 250 students, offering quality educational and religious programmes to girls and boys from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school's history and traditions bear witness to a spirit of sacrifice, determination and commitment by the parish, parents and teachers.

Our school motto Hope, Strength and Courage challenges us to

  • be people of hope trusting always in our God
  • have the strength to stand up for our beliefs and values and
  • have the courage to make a positive difference to our world.
At Our Lady Queen of Peace school we offer a learning programme that has an emphasis on developing individual competence within a challenging curriculum. We place an emphasis on literacy, numeracy and religious education and offer opportunities for the students to develop their creative abilities through art, music, dance and drama. We encourage a healthy lifestyle through physical education, sport and health education. Supervised internet access and student use of computers are an integral part of our learning programme.

Our staff are highly competent educators, who work in partnership with the parents of our students and strive to create a classroom environment where all children are valued and challenged.

Our Vision

As partners in Catholic Education at Our Lady Queen of Peace School, we believe that:

  • our lives are centred on Jesus Christ
  • every child can learn
  • that OLQP is a community where people feel they belong.

I feel privileged to be in the role of Principal at this stage in the history of the school. I invite you to browse our website to gain an insight into what makes Our Lady Queen of Peace school an alive and dynamic place.
